When running a social media account, whether for yourself as an influencer or for your brand, you will run into several roadblocks. These roadblocks, if not overcome quickly, can lead to discouragement to create. This discouragement reads in your posts. People will believe in you when you believe in yourself first, and if you don't believe in yourself, people can sense it. These affirmations can help you overcome those roadblocks, leading you forward down the path of virality.
@smcreatoracademy Affirmations to help you grow on social media this year. I threw in an extra one at end which helps me out a ton! Test them out and watch them change your life. 🥰 #affirmations #socialmediamarketing ♬ original sound - Social Media Creator Academy
1. Thank you, more please.
Every time you get a notification, whether a like, comment, or follow, the first words that go through your mind should be "thank you, more please." Not only does it express gratitude for people interacting with your posts in the first place (remember the day when one interaction was hard to get), but it also immediately petitions the universe for more to flow your way. Use this affirmation to replace the negative thought of "why didn't this get more views/likes/comments." Any thought you repeat will want to manifest your reality, and if you are actively thinking with gratitude and abundance, then more will be sure to flow your way.
2. They did it, so can I.
Yes, in business, your "competitors" are often talked about -- and are a necessary metric for data analysis. However, energetically, any person that has accomplished anything is only evidence to you that you can also accomplish that same thing. If your mind goes down the list of why you "can't" accomplish those things, then you're already on the wrong track. Take that same energy and focus it towards your desires, instead of away from them. If they did it, so can you. And, if their track is a track you want to pursue, then study, study, study how they got there. You would be surprised to find out how many people are willing to be your mentor if you only ask. Never operate from a space of jealousy when you're consuming content online. There's the phrase that is "comparison is the thief of joy," and that's 100% correct. If you find yourself operating from that space, it's time to log out, and look within. How can you become someone worth looking up to? What do you need to change about yourself, first? If they did it, and you want it, what are the steps you need to take to get there?
3. I'm an alchemist.
If you find yourself spiraling because of hate comments online, understand this one thing first: your problems are as big as the amount of attention you give them. So, just like Paul Coelho's The Alchemist, you need to implement emotional alchemical transformations as well. If you receive a hate comment, who cares? You're an alchemist. You will take that energy and use it, transmute it. It's now your fuel -- your motivation to produce your next piece of content. Lucky you! Suddenly, now, you don't need to scrape up some energy to get up and do the thing. That energy fell right into your lap. Use it to your benefit, and it can be very advantageous.
4. It's a little cringe, and it's working.
Confidence will always make people too insecure to do the big thing uncomfortable. Do you think Adele was a multi-Grammy-award-winning artist when she stepped onto her first stage? Absolutely not. It takes a certain level of confidence, and acceptance that you will be riding the line of cringe (or fully crossing it), in order to be perceived on a mass scale. For more on this, I suggest reading The Courage to Be Disliked by Ichiro Kishimi.
Have fun building your social media profiles, and take yourself seriously, but never too seriously!
